Types of Apostolic Work

The Congregation of the Sisters of St. John the Baptist is today an international family belonging to different nations, races, speaking different languages. Today, the Sisters of St. John the Baptist, as members of the Church, work for the glory of God in the service of the neighbor with a missionary zeal for Evangelization and Human Promotion of youth especially for the poor, abandoned, and at risk, so that in turn they may become promoters of justice and peace in charity for building up the
Kingdom where all can be in communion with each other and others. We are involved in education, health care, and pastoral ministry to remove those obstacles which hinder people from freely accepting the Love and Word of God into their lives. The Baptistine Sisters dedicate their lives principally to the education ministry, service in the Parishes, and direct evangelization among
the Catechumens, skill development to the youth, rural community health, care of the sick, the geriatrics, the physically challenged and the abandoned, street children and support to the people living with HIV. We run homes for tribal children, destitute and children affected by HIV. We promote the families through counseling the couples and empowerment of women. Baptistine sisters lead a simple lifestyle, trusting in the
Providence of God, committed and rooted in Christ as the Founder says
“Trust in God, my daughters, and have firm hope in His Divine Providence and you will never lack what is necessary in life. Did not Jesus says, seek first the kingdom of God and His justice and the rest shall
be given to you?”
